Unlike humans, God loves us because He chooses to and not because we deserve it. Be thankful today that you are loved unconditionally!

You can’t control how everyone treats you, but you can control how you respond. When someone is rude, you don’t have to get upset. When they cut you off in traffic, that doesn’t have to sour your morning. Stay in peace.

The Spirit of God will cause you to move forward, to continue on and pursue your purpose, despite what’s trying to stop you. You may be going through a tough season now. It feels overwhelming. On our own, by ourselves, we would get stuck there. When we get knocked down, we’d stay down. But here’s the good news, you can move forward while still hurting, you can trust even though there are unanswered questions, you can praise through the pain, you can speak victory in the middle of trouble.

God brings people in and moves people out. Don't be discouraged over who walked away, who wouldn’t stay. If they left you, you didn’t need them. If they walked away, let them go. God has new relationships, new opportunities.

While in Benue, I met with dozens of Christians who were driven from their homes and subjected to horrific violence and now live in IDP camps. They told harrowing stories that will remain with me for the rest of my life. One woman was forced to watch as they killed her husband and five children. She, and her unborn child, barely escaped. Another woman’s family was murdered in front of her and her baby was ripped from her womb. One man’s family was hacked to death in front of his eyes and his armed was permanently mangled. There are more than 600,000 Christians in IDP camps in Benue State alone. These Christians should be able to live in their ancestral homeland without fear of genocidal Fulani.

It was an honor and deeply moving to meet with his excellency Bishop Wilfred Anagbe, Bishop Isaac Dugu, and his Royal Highness James Ioruza, traditional ruler of the Tiv people, to discuss the ongoing genocidal campaign by the Fulani in Benue State. Our brothers and sisters in Christ will no longer suffer in silence. The United States has heard your cries and we are working diligently toward solutions.

You may feel stuck, overlooked, the dream is too big, the promise seems too late. Have a new perspective. The coming One is on the way. He’s coming with healing, coming with favor, coming with breakthroughs, coming with new opportunities.

There will be seasons when it’s taking longer than you thought. That’s a time to prove to God who you are. You’re not weak. You’re a warrior. You don’t fall apart when trouble comes. You are strong in the Lord.

The Scripture says, “Jesus endured the pain of the cross looking forward to the joy that was coming.” The odds may be against you, but the Most-High God is for you.
