CONCOR’s MMLP Visakhapatnam continues to strengthen its position as a true Multi Modal Logistics Park, delivering seamless single-window logistics solutions. A new milestone was achieved with the handling of the first rice rake—42 BCN wagons carrying nearly 2,700 MT of rice from Raipur. The cargo was efficiently received and stocked at the rail-side warehouse within MMLP Visakhapatnam. This achievement marks another step forward in strengthening multimodal connectivity between the Indian hinterland and Visakhapatnam, facilitating efficient cargo movement for domestic distribution and export requirements. Equipped with rail-side warehousing, customs facilitation, packaging services, cargo handling infrastructure, and seamless last-mile connectivity to the port, MMLP Visakhapatnam offers an integrated logistics ecosystem. Pleased to share the commencement of bulk cement loading through CONCOR-owned tank containers at the UltraTech siding in Sedam for movement to DRTA. This initiative is another step towards building a more sustainable and efficient logistics ecosystem. By leveraging rail-based containerized transportation for bulk cement, we can significantly reduce road congestion, lower carbon emissions, minimize product losses during transit, and improve overall supply chain efficiency. ICDT/Tondiarpet has exhibited its cargo handling ability by direct handling of 2700 Tonnes of Rice Exports directly from 42 ( BCN)wagons. The rake loaded from Samalkot and Tanuku are directly stuffed in 105 TEUs which are booked & cleared from CONCOR ICD - Tondiarpet (ICDT) to China through the Ports of Chennai.
