Truck parking could receive a major boost under a new federal funding opportunity from the U.S. Department of Transportation. USDOT has opened more than $200 million in dedicated funding for projects aimed at expanding commercial truck parking nationwide. The funding is part of the INFRA program, which supports freight infrastructure, safety improvements, and projects that help reduce transportation bottlenecks. For truck drivers, the announcement addresses a long-running concern: the lack of safe, legal parking along freight corridors. Limited parking can make it harder for drivers to stop when reaching hours-of-service limits and create safety concerns on the road. Applications for the truck parking funding track are due July 15, 2026, with project awards to be announced later. 🔗 Read the full article: truckdrivernews.com/truck-pa… 🚛 If you want to stay abreast of Trucking Industry News - PLEASE FOLLOW our page - we post Monday through Friday! #TruckDriverNews #TruckParking #TruckDrivers #TruckingIndustry #FreightInfrastructure #USDOT #INFRAProgram #SafeTruckParking #CommercialDrivers #SupplyChain
