Recent interactions have reminded me of just how tiresome it is to deal with video game history fans. Everything just becomes an argument over paper stats rather than factoring in everything else about the vehicle/weapon
This isn't specific to wehraboos either and I see it from both sides CONSTANTLY.
No the Sherman was not better than the Tiger head to head but combat isn't just one tank fighting another tank. Not only are there multiple tanks in a unit but there's infantry, artillery, and air support which may be just a radio call away.
On the flip side Germany DID have better tanks and were more advanced in some areas like their rocket program, but this doesn't mean they had any chance of winning the war
This same mentality unfortunately extends to the current day where you see posts mocking the new Chinese or Russian weapons system based on a few clips posted to the internet. It may very well be true that the US and its allies are superior technologically to those potential adversaries but it's not a good strategy to simply assume that and ignore them.
War is very much a business no matter how you look at it and it's rarely a good business move to ignore your competition if you want to stay on top
