For those people who follow me because of my Asset Manager Studio project.
I Just released v1.0.0, something like 30 releases to get to this point -- this is a BIG milestone.
Not only is downloading of assets massively faster, but now it it is completely cross platform.
Not sure if you will see this; but figured I would still try... @elonmusk
To be honest looking at the research, I do think Mike is correct on we are overdue for one. Even Grok agrees that we are do for another Carrington or the worse Miyake event. x.com/BskiMike22802/status/2β¦
I do feel like your path to get Humans to the Stars is a way to avoid it crippling us and setting us back generations, BUT in the meantime you do have the resources to actually have a small team work on safeguarding certain parts of infrastructure at @xai in case something like this did happen before you were able to get enough infrastruture into the stars to be able to re-bootstrap the human race. Any interest in making sure to prepare for such an event, I would love to work on such a team!
This version now OPTIONALLY support @Leartes Cosmos as a valid asset site. "File -> Login -> Cosmos" and your all your Cosmos assets will be shown with all your other assets.
Now AMS supports an integrated and filterable view on:
- @UnrealEngine Marketplace
- @Fab Unreal
- Fab Quixel
- Fab Other (Obj/Gltf/blender/etc)
- Leartes Cosmos
In addition the Humble Bundle comparer system will now work against Cosmos assets in addition to @Fab assets.
The FREE Asset Manager Studio is designed to not only replace the@EpicGames Launcher for all your @UnrealEngine needs, but to be something you actually WANT to use.
Not only is AMS ultra-fast (less than a second startup times). It already supports a massive number of unique features that save you time and/or money. It has always had full support for the @Fab Unreal assets!
Just recently we added additional Fab support for items that the Epic Game launcher have never supported on Fab. AMS has built in support for not only the Fab Quixel assets by @quixeltools, but also any NON unreal specific Fab assets that are in your library are equally supported. π
This new feature starts the progress of supporting the first of many Non-Fab Asset sites, so that AMS can be your one place to find an asset in your library.
β οΈ Critical Apache HTTP Server Flaw Exposes Millions of Servers to RCE Attacks
Source: cybersecuritynews.com/apacheβ¦
The Apache Software Foundation has released a critical security update for Apache HTTP Server, patching five vulnerabilities, including a dangerous double-free flaw capable of enabling Remote Code Execution (RCE) in version 2.4.67, released on May 4, 2026.
All users running version 2.4.66 or earlier are strongly urged to upgrade immediately. The most severe of the five vulnerabilities is CVE-2026-23918, rated High with a CVSS base score of 8.8.
The flaw is a double-free memory corruption bug triggered within Apache's HTTP/2 protocol implementation during an "early stream reset" sequence.

For those who are in the @UnrealEngine eco-system and use @fab and likes to checkout and occasionally purchase the @humble bundles asset packs. This is such a massive time saving feature in Asset Manager Studio. AMS's "Humble Bundle Comparer"
It was able to tell out of 63 items in this bundle, of which 41 are Unreal related (listed on fab), that I already had 32 of them in my library, 8 of them I didn't own, and one was unknown state. So now I can decide is it worth the $30 for the 8 or 9 assets I don't own.
Massively faster than manually checking all 63 assets. π
New version of Asset Manager Studio released, lots of new features...
For those who would rather use the AuthCode flow, rather than the login flow.
When AMS first starts up, just close the Login window and then click "File" -> "Login via AuthCode"

Hey for those who follow me, Asset Manager v1.1.0 was released!!! Lots of Qol fixes, but the several brand new features are:
1. Fab Quixel support (*)
2. Fab Other support (*)
3. Multi-tier progress bar
4. Enhanced filter system
5. More CLI features.
One minor note, Quixel and Fab Others -- the internal download is currently disabled as I was still working on finishing it up when I discovered a recent Fab API change that was causing issues for a lot of people.
I felt I needed to released the next version of AMS, asap. So the "Download on Fab" button is a temporary "hack", both types of new asset types will be supported to download internally shortly. π
AMS = Asset Manager Studio
EGL = Epic Games Launcher
Fab = fab.com
UE = @UnrealEngine
A couple other minor things to mention if you aren't familiar with AMS. AMS is a complete replacement for EGL if you are a @UnrealEngine developer who uses @fab. AMS handles more things than EGL does, and is completely cross platform (Linux, Windows, & Mac) and is free!
If you paid attention the first screen show "Assets: 20,055". From start, AMS will have all 20k of my assets loaded and is fully usable in under a second.
AMS is designed to be fast and designed to use as little memory as possible leaving as much for your unreal engine project as possible.
