Department of Telecommunications has de-licensed the Lower 6 GHz band (5925–6425 MHz) to boost next-generation wireless connectivity. This will enable advanced Wi-Fi services, including Wi-Fi 6E, 7 and higher, supporting faster connectivity, next-gen devices and data-intensive applications such as telemedicine, tele-education, AR/VR and gaming—driving faster, smarter digital ecosystems.
