Promoting my research @Techniquest last week. One of the most memorable interactions was when I told an 8 year old boy that I'm a scientist and he replied, "...but I thought scientists looked like Rick and Morty?". #womeninSTEM #notallmaleandpale

3/3: But I’ve run out of plant pots, so that’s where Tip Boxes come in (all approved by departmental bio safety guy). Drill holes in base, pot in baby spider plant, use the lid as a drip tray. I now have a couple of dozen little plants to cheer up some Freshers’ Uni rooms :-)

Spent the most amazing week with these colleagues and Year 2 students from @CUBiosciences, doing a week-long Education Research experience on “How to better support students going into/through Yr1?”. Generated their own data and presented their findings like real pros!! Awesome!
