it's tokenized music.
music is distributed using a variety of formats. vinyl, cassette, CD, digital download, streaming, NFT.
imo, the terms 'tokenized music' or 'music NFT' best describe what's going on in web3. saying 'onchain music' is like saying 'online music' (but also the audio file should actually be onchain).
by tokenizing audio files, musicians are turning their hard work and creativity into tradable crypto assets.
