Year 12 Geographers went to Humber Street yesterday to look at how it is a Changing Places environment. They were studying how it has changed from being a fruit and vegetable market to an area of redevelopment.
Year 12 Physicists from Hessle and Wolfreton travelled down to London on Friday just as the city was setting up for Christmas! They visited the Science Museum to try out careers as technicians and to visited the Royal Institution to experience the history of the Physics Sciences.

On Friday Year 12 Geographers from Hessle Campus were out in force on Mablethorpe beach carrying out their physical geography fieldwork. They were looking at Sand dunes, beach profile, sediment size and longshore drift.
Chemistry students visited Kroto School's Laboratory @sheffielduni learning to synthesise paracetamol. They tried a range of techniques, such as using a reducing agent, vacuum filtration & recrystallisation for purification. All students successfully synthesised paracetamol! ππ

Year 12 Geography students are currently in London preparing field work for their NEA. Yesterday they visited Covent Garden, Oxford Street & Camden Town collecting data. Today they have had a guided tour around the Olympic Park in Stratford.
