Let me take you inside a church with tribals celebrating New Year in Jharkhand:
This 31st December, we at
@eOrganiser decided to witness a church gathering on New Year's Eve. Expecting there would be cakes and chocolates, like one would expect in a church, all we found were incense sticks, prarthana, bhajans, prashad, and the burning of a putla like Ravana.
Women dressed in sarees, wearing bindis, were chanting "Hallelujah," taking prashad, folding hands in worship, and donating money afterwards. With over 300 people in attendance, all were tribals from the Munda, Oraon, and mostly Kharia tribes. They came to the church by 10 pm and left at 1 am after greeting one another, saying, "Jai Yeshu Naya Saal."
Watch this video as I talked to the Father, people in the church, and showed things happening there.
