The 5th Edition of Conference on Cooperatives and the Solidarity Economy adjourned today. The 6h edition will gather from 3-6 Nov 2026 in Midrand, Johannesburg. The organising committee thanks all delegates and authors for their contributions and presentations. #CCSE
The chairperson of ACISA, Mr Katleho Ralehoko has been leading strategy, promoting effective governance and elevating the stature of @CooperativesOf . For five years he’s has been involved in all the work of organising the CCSE and was awarded for his service to the conference.
Like any great co-operative, @CooperativesOf has a disciplined, attending, skilled and an efficient General Secretary. Mr Skhosana received his CCSE five-year service certificate on the day 2 of the Conference. Lionel has been involved wholeheartedly with the CCSE since day one.
Dr Sizwe Mkwanazi from @go2uj presenting on a study about “Analysing the Impact of the International Year of Cooperatives”. In his study, he posed a question of - Does the IYC have an impact, if so, what impact does it have?

The first day of CCSE 2025 ended at Batlhako Temo Co-op LTD in Brits. The IYC has been an opportunity for showcasing yet again cooperative successes. BT is SA’s pride. A co-op that produces over a 1200 tons of citrus and exports to multiple countries. Employing over 200 people.
