Contrary to the views of some fitness influencers, the gains in strength produced by strength training programs are strongly associated with the increases in muscle size.

Great educational materials for shoulder MSK US!
We’ve just published Part 2 of our 2-part series on High-Resolution Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for Shoulder Imaging. This new paper lead by Tamborrini G (@Rheumatology ) focuses on the “Anterior and Lateral Shoulder”, building on Part 1, which covered the “posterior and coronal shoulder”. ✨ What’s in Part 2? 1️⃣ A unique focus on connecting sonoanatomy with histology and sonohistology, using high-resolution imaging to bridge what we see with US to detailed tissue structures. 2️⃣ A step-by-step guide to US scanning techniques for key anterior and lateral shoulder structures, such as the biceps tendon, rotator cuff, and subacromial bursa. 3️⃣ Dynamic tests and optimal probe positioning to improve diagnostic precision. 4️⃣ Illustrations of the multiple bursas surrounding the shoulder. 5️⃣ A detailed anatomic and histologic description of the rotator interval. 6️⃣ Examination of relevant shoulder ligaments and the rotator cable. 7️⃣ Highlights how modern high-resolution MSK-US can improve shoulder imaging by correlating structures to cross-sectional anatomy and detailed histology. 8️⃣This ATLAS provides an overview of normal sonographic findings to serve as a reference for clinicians. 🌟This paper completes a project aimed at helping clinicians better understand and apply modern US technology for enhanced musculoskeletal diagnosis. We hope it serves as a useful tool for improving patient care! Read Part 2 here: jultrason.pl/artykul.php?a=1… Read Part 1 here: jultrason.pl/artykul.php?a=1… Kudos to the entire team who put this project together 🥳 💯 @Rheumatology @ramicheroli @GSERRANOB_MSK @riccivincenzo17 @mbecciomd Müller-Gerb M, Margenfeld F. #Ultrasound #ShoulderImaging #Musculoskeletal #MKSUS #POCUS #Shoulder

The pitching motion is a unique expression of individual muscle capacities working in concert. But how can we refine the list to the most effective group of measurements to explain injury risk and performance in our population? @CoorLab_USC @LoriMichener journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.…

If you’re a PT-PhD aspirant interested in shoulder pain and mechanisms of rehab after rotator cuff injuries, you can’t pass this opportunity! Grab it!
Excited for this R01 @NIH_NIAMS to fund the identification of mechanisms associated with response ( /-) to resistance exercise for those with rotator cuff tendinopathy. If you are interested in our work, a US-eligible PT, and interested in a PhD- please reach out! @CoorLab_USC
