If I’m not writing or on X, I’m usually playing Mortal Kombat.
Some battles have a setting that slowly drains your health the whole fight.
You can still win.
But everything becomes harder.
Real life has the same thing.
Fapping ruins your mood. I learned this the hard way.
For a while I was too far from it, too pure for a temple.
No questioning anything. Just writing, posting, gym, cooking meals like a crazy chef.
Then one day the tap of lust opened and I relapsed.
Next day, tired, didn’t want to talk to anyone, skipped the gym.
The copy I wrote was dog shit compared to what I was producing before.
I only talked about the external effects here.
Small things aren’t bad
I was copying mails tonight. Tapped through 5 back to back looking for a long one
All of them were short
But every single one grabbed my attention. Two almost made me buy
Short doesn’t mean weak
Sometimes it hits harder
People confuse size with value
Dumb intelligent.
Everyone has that one friend who pretends to know everything.
You bring up football, he talks like he’s played professionally.
You talk about business, he gives you a lecture like he owns one.
There’s an effect called the Dunning-Kruger effect.
And it’s real.
When you learn something new, you tell everyone, like a kid who just discovered that babies come from pee-pees.
The first drops of knowledge make you feel like Einstein.
Then you realize you know slightly more than the other monkeys.
A son of a poor samurai desires to be a great samurai.
Just like his father.
Works hard, collects enough money for a sword.
One week later he buys it, goes home swinging it like crazy.
Arrives home, trains like crazy, puts it down just as fast, like a baby drops a toy after getting bored.
20 days later…
“Why are my sword skills not improving?”
The sword sits in the corner.
Spider webs on the blade.
I have a friend whose girl left him.
Every day it’s the same story. He drags long puffs from his cigarette and says:
“She did this.”
“She did that.”
“I trusted her.”
One day he asked me:
“What can I do to earn money?”
I told him what I knew:
“Learn a skill. Copywriting. Editing. Design. Cybersecurity. Anything.”
“That can’t happen.” He replied immediately.
Not “How?”
Not “Where do I start?”
Just:
“That can’t happen.”
Later that same day he showed me meme coins and betting apps.
You may not agree with this.
“My parents don’t support me.” I’ve heard people say this.
Then they spend 4 hours a day on betting apps.
Their parents didn’t support that either. Yet they still found a way to do it. People make time for what they want.
