tbf it more or less did exactly that. ran way longer than it should have, became the default T&J program for all Boomerang stations, plus had its art style copy pasted to both the next show and a few "movies"
Warner Bros. was so convinced that The (2014) Tom & Jerry Show would be a massive success, they gave that crap a style guide. They seriously thought it had a chance to become the new face of the Tom & Jerry brand.

Kids deserve better shows. Yes, I do mean this unironically.
I do feel there's something genuinely wrong with treating even preschool cartoons as colorful distractions and by the time you grow a brain you realize that they were only just mass produced slop.

I was talking to a friend of mine on the chance of why the Among Us show was shelved for 2 years not only cuz paramount sucks with their IPs but also cuz Among Us is very anti-capitalist and the core owner of paramount is a personal friend and donor of Trump

I feel like there's always been a type of shonen or kids anime that (pockets of) north america(n viewers) has had more of an appetite for than Japan itself. like... the zatch bell/shaman king/viewtiful joe/blue dragon realm
I only say that bc once CN stopped buying, they ceased

I don't mind crediting it to CN. CN doing all types of anime was what got Oban on Jetix, Speed Racer X on Nick for like 5 minutes (lol), Joe on WB. They were the first network to make cheap content look cool... because, well, it WAS cool.
But why would one corp wanna carry yall?

I'll give Nick credit, they took an honest stab with '09-14 nicktoons. Better viewing experience than DXD by a long shot (considering it barely played any of its good originals lol. Either sitcom slop or a Disney Channel hand-me-down. what is the point)
