FWIW… I’ve talked to a number of folks asking if the CFP could ban Texas Tech if Sorsby plays. Answer: Maybe. There’s no mechanism specifically for cases like this, but in general, CFP follows NCAA guidelines. And, as ‘23 FSU showed, extenuating circumstances can be considered. But the selection committee wouldn’t decide. Management committee would have to take up the issue and then present it to the selection committee members as an option. Right now, it’s unlikely, but there are people who think it should be on the table.

What a tremendous professional outing from McLean. Gave up the home run early and clearly didn't have his great stuff, but he got a couple of quick innings and he battled through 7. Never gave in to hitters and got rewarded with some run support. #Mets

I can't imagine there is a player that #Mets fans want to see less than Kodai Senga right now. On a team that is failing in every way imaginable, he just sticks out as someone that appears hopeless and fragile and uninspiring. There's nothing good to take out of his appearances.
