Two police cars collide while responding to the same call in Providence just now. One officer was traveling down Prairie Ave as another was turning from Public St onto Prairie when they crashed. Both officers taken to the hospital with minor injuries. @wpri12

Jamestown FD making a save right now after someone reportedly jumped off the Jamestown bridge a little while ago. Multiple communities launched boats as soon as the call came in. One person located alive and conscious in the water - now being taken back to shore on a fire boat.

Did you hear or feel that boom? That was very likely a meteor or what is known as a bolide exploding in the atmosphere south of Boston. This quick flash convinces me of it.

The flash density product really shows this anomalous "flash" which is pretty distinctive of a bolide/meteor reentry. east of Boston. This is the likely source of the loud boom/explosion.

I was in the middle of taping on my iPhone for a social video from the White House North Lawn when we heard the shots. It sounded like dozens of gunshots. We were told to sprint to the press briefing room where we are holding now.

Appears this scene is ramping down now and any active threat is over. Police and SWAT have started to clear. A West Warwick FD medical team in tactical gear has moved in behind the hotel. Nearby highway ramps have reopened as well. @wpri12
