Last week, we had the privilege to expunge the records of 50 Louisville residents. Being in the cannabis space, we hope to heal some of the wounds caused by the failed war on drugs in our community. We’re grateful to Goodwill Industries of Kentucky for providing us the opportunity.
What exactly is an expungement? An expungement is a legal process that allows an individual to have their criminal record sealed or destroyed, effectively removing it from public view.
We look forward to continuing to work alongside Goodwill and urge anyone in the Cornbread community to get involved. You can visit goodwillky.org/expungements/ for more information. @jimhigdon
