The Ultimate Trade ! The Denver Broncos must cut ties with Jarrett Stidham immediately and aggressively pursue Tanner McKee from the Philadelphia Eagles. This isn't just a depth move—it's a salary-smart, high-upside, game-changing upgrade that frees up serious cash while injecting elite developmental talent and long-term contention potential behind (or challenging) Bo Nix. spotrac.com 1 Why Stidham Has to Go: The Harsh, Expensive RealityStidham (now 29-30) is a veteran backup on a bloated deal: $5.99M base salary in 2026 with an $8M cap hit. That's massive dead money risk for a guy whose production has been consistently mediocre—low completion rates in relief spots, modest arm talent, and career starter marks that scream "stopgap at best." spotrac.com Cutting or trading him creates immediate cap relief and mental reset. No more settling for a high-priced journeyman who caps the room's ceiling. Broncos fans and the front office deserve forward momentum, not paying premium prices for average backup play. Why Tanner McKee Is the Shocking, Exciting, Cost-Efficient UpgradeMcKee (26, 6-6 Stanford product) delivers prototype size, elite arm talent, poise under pressure, and proven winning pedigree—including Super Bowl experience—with a tiny ~$1.145M cap hit for 2026 (final year of his rookie deal). That's a fraction of Stidham's number while offering starter upside that Stidham never will. spotrac.com College: Strong production, leadership, pro-style readiness. NFL flashes: Efficient reps (61% completion, low turnovers), preseason dominance, and the football IQ to thrive in Sean Payton's system. This swap is pure financial genius : Dump ~$8M in cap commitment for a young, hungry QB on a bargain rookie deal. You save millions to bolster the roster elsewhere (OL, edge, secondary depth) while upgrading the position with someone who can actually push Nix and develop into a legitimate future option. Mentally, it's electric—trading mediocrity for upside, competition, and championship-caliber depth. The QB room goes from "good enough" to dynamic and future-proof.The Absolute Best Way for Broncos to Land McKee: Leverage Eagles' Safety Need Salary SavingsEagles are thin at safety post-Blandenship departure and other moves, relying on veterans (Epps, Carter) and unproven depth like Mukuba. They need immediate help there. sharpfootballanalysis.com Optimal, Low-Cost Trade Structure (Win-Win & Cap-Friendly):Broncos send: Veteran safety Brandon Jones (experienced starter with coverage skills) a 2027 mid-round pick (3rd/4th). Eagles send: Tanner McKee (plus any minor sweetener if needed). Why this is perfect:Eagles address their urgent safety need with a proven NFL contributor without giving up draft capital. Broncos offload minimal assets for a high-upside QB, slash massive cap space by moving Stidham's contract, and gain years of control on McKee's cheap deal. Trade value aligns: McKee rumors hover around a Day 2-3 pick; adding Jones makes it a steal for Denver. theeagleswire.usatoday.com This is clean, factual, and the smartest path—no overpay, mutual needs met, and huge savings to attack free agency or extensions. Broncos stay aggressive in the AFC West with better financial flexibility.Bottom line: Ditching Stidham for McKee (via Brandon Jones pick) is the bold, exciting, truth-seeking, money-saving masterstroke. Dump the expensive veteran drag, acquire cheap elite potential, and watch the room ignite. Broncos Country—this is how smart winners build. Do it now.

Immediate Changes to Become UnstoppableILB Upgrade & York Integration: Accelerate York's development with reps—leverage his smarts for blitzes, run fits, and special teams. Trade/sign veteran depth or elevate Murdock/Elliss for better coverage impact. Simpler schemes to reduce missed tackles. Hufanga/Secondary Fix: Heavy ball-drill emphasis in camp. Add a playmaking free safety "Miles Scott "if needed. Target more turnovers unit-wide to shorten fields. Unleash Mims: Push to 60% offensive snaps with deep shots, motion, and YAC designs. Pair with Nix's rhythm game for mismatches. Backup QB Urgency: Add McKee-type talent now—non-negotiable insurance. Play-Calling/Strategy (Payton Webb): 55% run balance early for play-action setup. Motion-heavy attacks featuring Mims seams/crossers and TE rubs. Defensive aggression: Rotate ILBs (including York packages), force turnovers. Projected Outcome: These pinpoint adjustments (no teardown required) could elevate the offense to top-8 (~28 PPG), preserve the No. 1 defense, and fuel 13 wins with a deep playoff push. The talent exists—executing on ILB (York included), safety playmaking, and Mims flips good to elite. Broncos Country, these are suggestions. These are questions that fans who look in from the distance would love to hear coaches respond to. Their personal analysis of the teams standing position, with a little push back. God Bless the Denver Broncos, and God bless Bo Nix!

We are not perfect by any length of measure, but our baseline is solid.

I just want to know, why ? The Denver Broncos’ coaching staff owes the fans a direct answer: why have they refused to use Marvin Mims as a true wide receiver when he’s shown elite talent?Mims has only dropped one pass across two full seasons while catching 61 of 85 targets. He creates 4.5 yards of separation per target and ranks among the league’s best in separation rate. These are not gadget-player numbers — these are top-tier wide receiver numbers. The common excuse that “he can’t run routes” is completely hollow. The Broncos have barely put him on the field to run routes in the first place, constantly using him on jet sweeps, reverses, and screens instead. You cannot fairly claim a player can’t do something when you refuse to give him the opportunity to do it or coach him in that role. This becomes even harder to defend when the team traded a first-round pick to go get Jaylen Waddle, a similar speedy receiver, while leaving Mims — who was already on the roster and performing efficiently — stuck in gadget packages. The coaching staff needs to explain why they chose to spend high draft capital on a new receiver instead of developing and featuring the talented one they already had. They’re wasting a proven asset and costing the offense big plays. The question is simple: why?
