Yes, my opinion has changed for sure! It actually changed after the trial, I only came to terms with my realizations and findings one day before Karen sued the CW witnesses. I had been going down some rabbit holes for a few weeks, asking lots of questions, and looking into everything that I thought I knew that made the CW witnesses “guilty,” and the more I looked, the more I realized that I had been intentionally misled.
But what REALLY fully solidified everything for me was the realization that the 8:22am dash cam footage was accurate, and that Sgt Barros confirmed on the stand that it was representative of what he saw when they seized the car in Dighton. So, if the taillight was broken out at 8:22am, and we have a trustworthy police officer telling us that that footage is not manipulated in any way, then how could anyone believe that taillight pieces were broken off in the Sally Port and planted in the yard? If the taillight lens was broken out at that time, early morning on 1/29/22, then where was it? Well, we know now, it was at 34 Fairview. And it’s no coincidence that the taillight looks quite similar at 8:22am as it does in the SP, from the same angle.
I think it was really easy to get caught up in him saying “absolutely not” because I know I did too, at the time. If you any FKR, they’ll tell you that Barros confirmed the taillight *didn’t* look the same. But all he *actually* confirmed is that the taillight didn’t look the same when he saw it caked in snow, versus NOT caked in snow. Because… DUH! It obviously wouldn’t look the same.
It was a real slick trick by AJ, and it obviously worked, because it seems like the entirety of FKR missed the fact that Barros confirmed that it was completely impossible for taillight to have been planted.
