to me this sounds like they're using AI as an efficiency tool and not a replacement to anyone , which is exactly how it should be . unless im missing something it sounds fine ? like artists are still the key role here , and move to new projects and other phases at a quicker rate

- Companies are trying to maximise profits (output) & minimise input. Thats how the economy works π€·ββοΈ

The AI used in this video is working in conjunction with a singular concept artist. In their demonstration, the AI is a tool and can not be used in place of an artist.
Honestly this is a fairly reasonable use for AI, even if it isnt ideal.

Well, now everyone will be like "UGH! AI SLOP!"
The artists draw the main concept BY HAND (no one is replaced) then use an AI Filter to finalize it and then EVENTUALLY clean the final image manually
and this is just CONCEPTING! There are countless of talented Epic Developers that will then, BY HAND, model these, as well as POI's, props and more
Let's not take this clip demonstration to doom post or to justify the layoffs, since it benefits no one and is also frankly quite stupid

As a player how am i supposed to feel? We donβt want any ai because its resource hungry and the game looses a piece of artistry. I get they βsolvedβ the ai replacing artists argument but the picture is much bigger than that.

It gets to the point where boycotting seems hopeless and just leaving the game for good is just tiresome. I value morals, but if i were to express them fully, i wouldnβt own any piece of technology because its just everywhere. Can i reason to myself that it will get better?
