This wooden plate (my work) is designed to gift guests bread-and-salt. Offering bread-and-salt to guests is an Russian traditional hospitable ceremony based on the patriarchy cult of bread. But the bread-and-salt should be brought by older men, not girls in kokoshniks like now.
