So - August ‘22 Electric Bill for Celtic Ross has finally arrived. €24,669😱 August ‘21 was €8,833. No TBESS for July & August should be reconsidered. The level of support isn’t enough (though appreciated a scheme is in place) @IHFcomms @Paschald @mmcgrathtd can more be done😟

Our electricity has gone up 400%. Don't think 40% is going to help enough businesses, particularly if bar returns to 13.5%. what they give you with one hand they take with another.

Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme (TBESS), will pay for 40% of the increase in gas and electricity that businesses are facing.

I always try remain positive in what I do. However with the cost of living & cost of production rising daily, I am really afraid for all our future. Being self employed has never been so stressful & I've traded through recession & covid.I hope I'm not alone in my thoughts 💣 😔

I will not lie to you it's getting harder and harder to manage the businesses. 14 years in business and this is definitely worse than recession or covid. Have to put thinking cap on. Is it time for an exit strategy? Or at least a time to shrink to something manageable? Who knows.

So this was my resturant at 8pm on a Saturday night in my small little independent restaurant done on a shoe string these are the tables of guests that decided to book 2 restaurants and not show even though they were confirmed... i don't think i can take much more HELP!

So if you can afford a hotel room you can eat indoors but any other form of "staycation" then you have to eat outdoors no matter what the weather, yeah that seems logical. If indoor dining isn't safe then shut the hotels! #indoordining
