Hugo Ekitiké MUST be Liverpool's number 1 ST target. Forget Alexander Isak. This is football's Victor Wembanyama. This is a generational striker. 🧵.

This is one of the greatest World Cup debuts in recent World Cup history. An 18 year old midfielder head and shoulders above any of his Brazilian counterparts. Oozes composure & self assurance, controlling & probing with such a nice temperament. Scanning proficient, always surveying/weighing up his nest option Drifts effortlessly across the pitch, minimal motion but masterful control; always arriving at the right time. The perfect modern day #6, a true genius. x.com/bytsd29476/status/2065…

You have to break the bank to bring in Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Excited at the prospect of Lille’s midfield next season: Ngal’ayel Mukau (RCM) - incredible technician, tenacious athlete, progressive, versatile ball-carrier Ugo Raghouber (DM) - Busquets-lite, elegant technician, incredibly progressive Ayyoub Bouaddi (LCM) - strong dueller, ground-eater, powerful carrier

Ayyoub Bouaddi would be a transformational signing for Manchester United. This is an 18 year old, 6’1” Rolls Royce that will evolve into one of the very best midfielders on the planet. He takes your breath away every time he plays & he would take United to the next level.

That is one of the greatest 45 minutes from a World Cup debutant in Ayyoub Bouaddi. Dominates his zone with such technical proficiency; physically robust and a really clever dueller. Always got his head up and executing the right action is rare for an 18 year old.

Morocco are everything I thought they were and more. You do not want to face this unit in a knockout World Cup game. Technicians all across the pitch, with such a complete midfield 3 in Bouaddi, Ounahi & El Aynaoui. Going to take a lot to beat this side.

I have come to find out that Bukayo Saka is one of the most disrespected players playing the game. How can you deny his status as a top 3 RW today? This is a genius footballer, just look at what a 6/10 Bukayo Saka performance entails.

This couldn’t be further from the truth, world class is top 3 in your position: Harry Kane is a top 3 CF Declan Rice is a top 3 CM Jude Bellingham is a top 3 #10 Reece James is a top 3 RB Bukayo Saka is a top 3 RW At the very least, there’s 5 world class players with players like Marcus Rashford, Elliot Anderson and Nico O’Reilly all on the fringes.
Do you agree with Gary Neville? 💭

Breathtaking half of football from the USA. Pochettino’s principles on full display here. Real emphasis on fluid rotations & neatly combinations within close proximity, looking to stretch Paraguay apart and create spaces to penetrate with runs from deep.

The way he’s platformed the individuals on the micro has been top as well. Dest holding the width consistently whilst Robinson has the freedom to exchange centrally. McKennie and Tillmans making runs from deep into the half spaces where they have the cutback to Balogun on again and again.

If that Endrick valuation at €45M is accurate, then this has to be the Mohamed Salah replacement. It doesn’t get much better than Endrick; a stocky inside forward/SS that is capable of hitting 35/40 goals a season at his peak. That ball-striking is just too unstoppable. x.com/kirkbappe/status/20459…

Christos Tzolis would be such a smart signing for Arsenal. 24 years of age with 51 goal contributions in 52 games last season for Club Brugge. Such a tenacious, two-way threat; quality ball-striker and such a brilliant passing empathy in the final third. x.com/thebottomcorna/status/…

If it’s between Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande, I’m opting for Barcola. He can influence a game in a plethora of ways, ways in which Diomande cannot. He has done it on the grandest of stages against the elite.

Whoever gets their hands on Bradley Barcola is signing one of the most devastating technicians on the planet. Hoping it will be Liverpool because I dread to think how difficult Arsenal would be to stop with this game-breaker at their disposal.

Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to sell Luka Vuskovic is insane. I have concerns wrt his recovery pace but at the very least he develops into one of the very best box defenders on the planet. He’s the perfect CCB to lead the line and fight fires with his excellent reading in the box. x.com/Lebronjame83562/status…

Absolutely love the Crystal Palace links to PSG’s Lee Kang-In - this is exactly the profile they should be pursing now they’ve secured European football. He would absolutely thrive in that right interior role for Oliver Glasner. 🧵.

Performances like this is what the World Cup is all about; Lee Kang-In showing the world just how good he is. So dangerous drifting around the pitch picking up pockets of space but his ability to quickly change direction is elite. Best performance of the tournament so far.

Mexico aren’t going to cause any top side real problems based off that performance. Such an underwhelming performance considering it was being played at the Azteca. Playing against a vastly inferior side and their tempo and intensity was lacking. Not got the quality to beat any top side.
