UPDATE: The previously announced temporary closure of County solid waste facilities has been canceled. Operational adjustments have been implemented that will allow facilities to continue providing service without interruption.

Due to operational impacts, the Imperial County Public Works Department is notifying residents and businesses that all county-operated solid waste landfill facilities and disposal operations will be temporarily halted beginning June 2, 2026, until further notice.
