It’s giving Senator @AbdulElSayed 😤💪
New Abdul El-Sayed internal poll by Tulchin Research shared with me finds El-Sayed widely ahead. El-Sayed: 41% Stevens: 23% McMorrow: 18% In terms of the scale of this lead, the poll is an outlier, but directionally, it is in line with other surveys showing El-Sayed surging ever since Third Way made Israel-Palestine a major issue in the race. Poll finds Stevens edging out McMorrow for second, with the August 4 primary approaching. Take any individual poll with a grain of salt, particularly an internal, but Tulchin Research is legit and the trend line is consistent. Poll was commissioned by a newly formed progressive coalition that'll be backing El-Sayed, helmed by Hannah Fertig (Bernie/JD) and Connor Farrell (longtime Michigan operative).

They've taken to calling me "dangerous." Go ask children in Detroit who needed glasses if I'm dangerous. Go ask people whose medical debt was cancelled if I'm dangerous. Go ask the people who are breathing on the wrong end of a smokestack if I'm dangerous. I'm not dangerous to them. Now go ask a politician backed by corporations. For damn sure I'm dangerous to them. Why? Because I'm coming for the system where people take money from corporations to funnel into elections so that all the politicians who get elected end up serving the corporations and not the people.

All eyes on Maine when they should be on #MISenate. Abdul is surging in the polls, in fundraising and in grassroots support. And to those weary - no, I don’t think the Rhodes scholar who already weathered a tough primary once in his life will have skeletons in his closet. LFG

Why did @Scott_Wiener repost this Islamophobic hawkish rant full of dog whistles in the middle of the night? - "Islamist power is rising" - "Trump's hesitation... have created a dangerous monster" - "Instead of the Abraham Accords: The Muhammad Accords"

Man has political talent. If you can’t go on conservative media just forget about being a swing state Democrat.

NEW: Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich. (and her mother) went on a $27,000 trip to Portugal in 2024, all paid for by the centrist, pro-corporate group Center Forward. Now, the group's super PAC is pouring more than $2 million in TV and online ads for her Senate campaign in a heated three-way race in Michigan. Center Forward made waves in 2023/2024 after taking $7 million in donations into its nonprofit arm from Big Pharma, then using its super PAC to fund congressional candidates who fought against Biden-era efforts to lower drug prices. This campaign cycle alone, Center Forward's super PAC has received $400,000 from big oil companies like Chevron, and $30,000 more from UnitedHealth Group. The last few weeks of attacks on @AbdulElSayed have revealed that he a) has the courage to stand with a majority of Democrats on Palestine and b) is a very well-educated person who chose to go into public health instead of a more lucrative career practicing medicine. Brutal.

Trump's DOJ announced last week it is bringing the firing squad practice back to federal death row. Death penalty critics are concerned. rollingstone.com/politics/po…

Texas is going to execute James Broadnax next week for a murder someone else confessed to. James committed a robbery and should be punished for that, not executed for a shooting he did not commit. The State must intervene before a man is wrongly executed in our names.
