Covenant Seminary has been awarded a $9,991,491 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help launch 𝘙𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, a major new partnership focused on recruiting, equipping, and sustaining the next generation of pastors. The Seminary will work closely in this new initiative with sister #PCAGA agencies and committees—@PCACDM, @CovenantCollege, @geneva_benefits, @pcamna, and @RUFnational—as well as @GenevaCollege, to strengthen the ecosystem of pastoral formation in the PCA and beyond. The Westminster Shorter Catechism talks about sanctification as being "renewed in the whole man after the image of God" (WSC Q. 35). Yet, our experience of spiritual formation does change over the years. We see in the apostle Paul's words in Philippians 3 a commitment to spiritual growth through two acts: forgetting and pursuing. Graduate Certificate (GC) Programs: Graduate Certificates are designed to equip lay leaders in the Bible, theology, and ministry. Covenant Theological Seminary awarded 104 degrees and certificates to 97 graduates at its 70th annual Commencement exercises last Friday. We invite you to pray for each one of them as they enter their respective callings as pastors, counselors, and ministry leaders. Graduates: Your degree is not a destination, but a passport to the places, situations, and people to whom you will one day carry God's Kingdom, by his grace and for his glory.
