The Westminster Shorter Catechism talks about sanctification as being "renewed in the whole man after the image of God" (WSC Q. 35). Sanctification is God's gift to every believer, and we believe that it is crucial for future church leaders during their time in seminary. In your first year at Covenant, you're placed in a cohort group designed to promote sustainability by helping you grow in emotional and spiritual health, relational skills, and conflict resolution through reflection on the story of God's grace in your life. This growth is not only for you, but for the benefit of those whom you will someday serve. Learn more: covenantseminary.edu/student…

"Pressing On Toward The Goal" There will never be a point in the Christian life where we have arrived at the end of our spiritual growth. Yet, our experience of spiritual formation does change over the years. We see in the apostle Paul's words in Philippians 3 a commitment to spiritual growth through two acts: forgetting and pursuing. Those two efforts are represented as continuous and synchronous. And both deserve our attention and reflection. Did you know that our founder, Dr. Robert Rayburn, served as a U.S. Army chaplain prior to serving as our first president? Covenant Seminary is continuing Dr. Rayburn's legacy today by preparing chaplains for institutional and military service in the MDiv Chaplaincy Track in partnership with PRCC. 🔗: covenantseminary.edu/chaplai… #MDiv #Chaplaincy

Have you ever wondered what chapel looks like for students at Covenant Seminary? Our faculty and student life team work hard to make chapel a highlight of the student experience—providing students, their spouses, and Covenant faculty and staff a time to gather each week for song, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word. With the spring semester concluded, Rayburn Chapel is feeling a little emptier on Wednesdays. We already can't wait to have our students back with us this fall.

Israel's Calendar Was a Classroom Annual holy times were not only regular reminders for Israel of who their Lord was and what he had done for them; they were also powerful teaching tools for passing on these wonderful truths to the next generation. Understanding the nature and purpose of these festivals, writes Dr. Jay Sklar at @desiringGod, provides Christians the necessary tools to read them well and apply them in the life of the church today. Covenant Theological Seminary awarded 104 degrees and certificates to 97 graduates at its 70th annual Commencement exercises last Friday. We invite you to pray for each one of them as they enter their respective callings as pastors, counselors, and ministry leaders. Graduates: Your degree is not a destination, but a passport to the places, situations, and people to whom you will one day carry God's Kingdom, by his grace and for his glory.
