Western legacy automakers are still busy rearranging the deck chairs on their compliance-car titanics... Meanwhile #CVPR2026 dropped its Embodied AI keynote lineup. Tucked neatly between the usual Silicon Valley mainstays and Detroit's hopefuls sits Xianming Liu - making @XPENG_Global the only Chinese automaker invited to school the room on autonomous driving world models. It turns out that when everyone else is still debating whether full self-driving means "hands-off" or just "eyes-prayed," #XPENG has been quietly exporting actual #AI architecture right into the heart of the academic establishment. If you still think the global EV race is about who can build a cheaper battery, you are missing the entire plot. The hardware is a solved problem - the software is where the knives are trully out... #EVs #FutureofMobility #XPEV

Another interesting bit - XPENG is the only Chinese company to be invited to the CVPR WDFM-AI 👏

Would you look at that.... #XPENG head-to-head in the AI race with #Tesla...
CVPR 2026 is stacked. Interestingly, XPENG's Xianming Liu, Head of General Intelligence Center, and Tesla's Ashok Elluswamy, the two leaders of the leading vision-based end-to-end systems, are going back-to-back. It should prove a fascinating showdown of the top L2 ADAS/robotaxi leaders.

In 2024, I stood in Paris and handed over a G9 SUV to one of our very first users in France. 2 yeas on, as we celebrate our 2ND anniversary in the French market, @brianxpeng delivered a Europe-built P7 sedan to another proud XPENG owner. From our first delivery to local production, from a single store to a growing presence across the country, we've come a long way. France now has become a cornerstone of our European journey—made possible by the trust of our users, the support of our partners, and the dedication of our amazing team. That trust is reflected in the strong momentum we've seen this year, with the G6 SUV becoming the best-selling Chinese BEV locally from January to April. A big thank you to everyone who has been part of our mobility exploration. Merci beaucoup. L'aventure continue.

🇨🇳 Chinese car tech is getting harder to dismiss. The West spent decades laughing at Chinese cars. That era is over.

Rolls-Royce just dropped the $9.5 million Nightingale, a "budget" electric coachbuild for the incredibly wealthy. With 10,500 stars inside and yacht-propeller wheels, it’s the most beautiful way to go bankrupt while saving the planet. captainelectro.com/cars/the-…

Nissan’s 2027 Juke EV is a neon-green, origami-inspired madness built on French bones. With 75 kWh of juice and a face only a mother (or a very confused robot) could love, it’s the most upbeat way to confuse your neighbors. captainelectro.com/cars/niss…

Honda’s Super-N is a $27,000 electric box that thinks it’s a rally car. With 94 hp and fake gears, it’s slower than a snail on a Sunday stroll, but it’s the most fun you’ll have in a 141-inch toaster. captainelectro.com/cars/hond…

The new electric AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is a 1,341-horsepower liar that pretends it has a V8. With eight external speakers and fake gear shifts, it’s hilariously loud, brilliantly fast, and absolutely obsessed with making you forget it’s a battery captainelectro.com/cars/merc…

Hyundai dropped the Boulder Concept, a chunky, 37-inch-tired electric beast that’s scaring the plaid off Detroit’s executives. Ladder-frame toughness and safari windows - this American-made Korean cowboy is ready to crush the off-road competition captainelectro.com/cars/hyun…

Never mind the tuxedo; Daniel Craig has a new gadget that doesn’t need a silencer. The Denza Z is a 952-horsepower electric beast from China, designed to leave the Porsche 911 in an orange cloud of tire smoke and confusion... captainelectro.com/cars/bond…
