Club Statement :
In regards to our fixture against Stansted on Saturday, where we lost 11โ0, we have lodged an official appeal with the League.
From the 45th minute onwards, heavy rain on an already poorly prepared pitch led to clear standing water and, in our view, the match should have been abandoned. To protect our players, we were forced to make substitutions as several feared injury, and the game ultimately turned farcical.
We await the Leagueโs review and will make no further comment at this time.

Polite notice to clubs.
We don't just call games off for the sake of it.
Berating your match official & using phrases like "we've played on worse" wont influence the decision. Player safety is always top priority.

I'm actually sick of this guy now. This is a horrendous comparison. @refsupportuk absolutely does not speak on behalf of refs. Being chased off a field is in no way to be compared to sexual assault. Dinosaur comment from the dinosaurs running this organisation.

I am sickened to hear an initial report of a 14year old ref being approached on the pitch by a coach, verbally abused and left crying on the pitch. I will be doing everything I can to support the youngster. This has to stop. @Pontyreferees
