You tip your pizza driver more than we make in profit on Rx's.
Think about that for a second.
The person who delivered your pizza makes more in a tip than the person who is making sure the drugs your 3 specialists (who heaven forbid talk to each other or share information) send over wont kill you or land you in the hospital.
This includes such things as:
eRx typos that would overdose your kid (I made about $1.10 over the cost of the goods on that one).
Your cardio starting you on amioderone without letting the coumadin clinic know to lower your dose.
Having your cardio put you on NTG sublingual or isordil while your GP gives you viagra.
The list goes on and on.
Nobody sees value in pharmacists until we fuck up, then we're thrown under the bus by doctors, patients, everyone.
I'm fucking tired of being the human shield of medicine all while we drown because politicians are addicted to lobbing money and patients are addicted to getting shit for free.
When we're all gone and you're nothing but a fucking number to some shellshocked chain pharmacist pulling his 11th hour into their shift you're gonna be sad, and I'm just going to laugh at you.
