An artist with unconditional basic income would not be a hobbyist giving away their soul's work for free. They'd be empowered creators, investing more deeply in their craft because they'd be liberated from the chains of survival and would be freed to gift their art if they chose.

Thatcher’s legacy today:
❌ 3 million people using foodbank
❌ raw sewage pumped into our rivers
❌ a broken NHS
❌ record energy prices
❌ crumbling schools
❌ uncapped banker bonuses
❌ defunded public services
❌ Covid money given to mates
❌ high rent and food
❌ Insufficient housing
And Starmer is praising her 'entrepreneurialism'.

Margaret Thatcher did not release entrepreneurialism in the UK, Keir Starmer. She released monopolistic exploitation and rentierism. As someone who knows the true meaning of being an entrepreneur, I can tell you that neither is in any way similar to enrepreneurialism. theguardian.com/politics/202…

The British people are compassionate. We will always support those who are genuinely homeless. But we cannot allow our streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the streets as a lifestyle choice. 1/4

No signs up at any bus stops or in bus stations. Keep your customers standing about for 30 minutes to be told by a passer by there is industrial action
I fully support workers rights to collectively organise, but you need to much better with communicating with your customers

When I joined I was 10st wet through… had my nose broke in first 3 weeks, had broken fingers, black eyes, swollen lips, been spat at and called all the names under the sun by bullies - inside policing and out - 16yrs later I’m still here… I’d stand by this lad any day over you!

just had another request from a research organisation wanting me to do work for them for free as a service user, which doesn't seem to recognise you can be based at a university and be a service user!!!
not very reassuring is it.

I have formally withdrawn from working with @NHSEngland until the report on SIM co-produced work with @StopSIMMH is published. It simply isn't ok to retract on fifteen months of shared work and stamp on the beginning of trust. I am a small player but, still, values are important.
