This is not hard. Texas Tech can say Sorsby won't play in games but we'll keep supporting him. They have not said it. The only issue anyone has is him playing in games. Texas Tech has had all week to rule that out and they have not done so.
When did they say they were going to let him play in games? They said they’re taking it one day a time

Former BYU WR Jared Bledsoe joined @espnthefan to break down the Brendan Sorsby situation Q: What do you think he does here? Does he side with the NCAA, side with Texas Tech, or stay neutral? Jared Bledsoe: Let me just say this: this whole thing feels incredibly messy. If this continues the way it's going, it's going to be a stain on the Big 12. If I were someone like former Iowa State quarterback Hunter Dekkers, I'd be looking at this and wondering where my eligibility went. If he thought he had NFL potential, you could argue there was a lost opportunity there. At this point, if the Big 12 doesn't do anything, I think it's going to be a bad look for the conference all season long. I've already thought about the signs fans are going to make and bring to games. I really enjoyed my time in Lubbock and have had great experiences with Texas Tech fans, but right now I'm not loving what I'm seeing. A lot of people seem perfectly fine with the idea that they found a way around the system and now get to keep their quarterback. It's a difficult situation because of the judge's ruling, but I think the Big 12 needs to step up and make a decision that aligns with what much of the rest of the country believes is right. Q: Hunter Dekkers lost his eligibility after placing bets involving Iowa State athletics. How do you reconcile that with what's happening here? Jared Bledsoe: That's exactly what makes this frustrating. It feels like football and college sports are being dragged through the mud. This should have been a cut-and-dried situation. What's even more frustrating is hearing that the actual legal proceedings could drag into next year. At that point, we're talking about an entire season taking place while the case is still unresolved. Something has to be done to preserve the integrity of the game and the rules. If this results in nothing more than a two-game suspension, what stops the next player from pushing the limits? Full interview: spreaker.com/episode/6-9-26-… 📸: @BYUFOOTBALL @BYUphoto

Braiden Day of Odion Menswear joined @espnthefan to break down whether late kicks hurt BYU: Q: Some fans think the 9:15 kickoffs hurt BYU in the AP Poll and College Football Playoff conversations because East Coast voters aren’t staying up that late. Do you think BYU gets overlooked because of those late kickoffs? Braiden Day: Honestly, I don’t think it has much to do with the timing of the game. I think it has everything to do with brand. Sadly, I don’t think very many AP voters are actually watching that many games. I think they’re following scoreboards. Sure, there’s probably a slight advantage if your game is easier to follow throughout the day, but I think it’s mostly about the brand. If we played Notre Dame at 9:15 and won, we’d still get respect because of the brand we’re playing against. Q: If BYU wins the Big 12 and makes the College Football Playoff, what would that mean for the program and for Kalani Sitake? Braiden Day: I think it would be huge. The momentum and trajectory we’ve been on with recruiting and everything happening around the program — I think continuing that upward trajectory is massive. Do I want us to win a national championship this year? Obviously. Do I think it’s happening this year? Probably not. But if you keep stacking 10-win seasons, 11-win seasons, playoff appearances, recruiting momentum, bigger transfer portal additions, more donors — all those things keep building. I really think the next couple years could be super special if that trajectory keeps going upward. Eventually it puts us in a spot where it’s not crazy to think BYU could actually be competing for a national title. Full interview: spreaker.com/episode/5-28-26… 📸: @BYUFOOTBALL @BYUphoto

Significant Court Filings in the Parker Kingston case....What do you make of it? One detail that hasn't received as much attention is that prosecutors also filed a separate motion seeking to block certain defense evidence at trial. Specifically, they are asking the court to exclude: 1. Testimony from the alleged victim's former boyfriend and three other men. 2. Evidence related to prior sexual history. 3. Evidence regarding alleged "religious-guilt-based limitations on sexual activity." Prosecutors argue those issues are barred by Utah's rape-shield protections and constitute inadmissible hearsay.
