And now I’m here… stuck. Trapped. As something less than. Less than the dirt under their boot, which i begrudgingly lick clean when commanded to. I sit. I stay. And I obey. Like the dog they trained. The animal they trained me to be.

The strangest things will trigger us… and then my limbs get heavy. I see black. And I wake up somewhere inside my mind. And the one that is now “me”- or… in my body… is the one to deal with it… trapped. As something they’re not. As something they were conditioned to be.

I fear I may be trapped. Trapped where I was 20 years ago. A child- broken, bruised, and bleeding. Wishing for death before it knew the word. Am I still that child? I feel like I can’t be anything else. I’m just… stuck.

Don't let the actions of any person who got to tell a character's story tarnish what these stories mean to you.
