Last week, I & @CroftRoland visited @klainfo's group @MonashInfotech & shared our @crest_uofa's research. It's great meeting everyone in person after a long time. Special thanks to Kla for kindly hosting us & sharing your exciting work. Looking forward to potential follow-ups.
ALT An innovative solution to problems with labelled data for building/leveraging ML models for software security. The paper has been accepted in MSR 2022, a top Software Engineering conference.
Awesome to get this paper accepted, a super interesting topic towards the importance of data quality. We had a good, positive review experience with @msrconf. Special thanks to @crest_uofa and @CSCRCoz for their support.
SE researchers r starting to highlight the importance of data quality 4 #ML. In our accepted paper at @msrconf, we identify the impact of mislabeled instances for #vulnerability learning, and show that noisy label learning improves performance @CroftRoland@alibabar@Huaming_Chen
We're kicking off a #research#seminar series on #Cybersecurity, #SoftwareEngineering and many other related topics.
Over the next few months, we'll be hosting guest talks from many world-class researchers. Watch this space for more updates soon. #crest_seminar
It was good to present this recently accepted paper to my colleagues. Have a look at the recording if you're interested in #datamining, #security, or programming languages. Thanks to @CSCRCoz.
I'm happy to have been accepted into the @msrconf shadow PC program, and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from this mentoring opportunity. Another step towards entering the SE research community!
2021 was a great year for me, despite the challenges. Started the 2nd year of my PhD, got several publications accepted, and supervised several talented students. Big appreciation to @alibabar, @crest_uofa, and @CSCRCoz for the support and opportunities they provided.
CREST organized a year-end party for the members & #CRESTSummerProjects2021 students in #Adelaide 🎉. We gathered to share our stories throughout the year 2021 & the resolutions for the next year.
Happy holidays, everyone! 🎊
Looking forward to seeing you all refreshed in 2022.
The preprint of our recently accepted paper at @SANERconf is now online: arxiv.org/abs/2112.10356. This is an important work towards our projects on data quality of software #vulnerability records and reporting. Thanks to @CSCRCoz for support, and team @alibabar, @lilicoding.
🤗Very happy to get this interesting work accpeted, and another paper towards my PhD! Great support and collaboration from @alibabar and @lilicoding. More details of the paper and preprint coming soon.
Extremely happy & proud to share our 3 accepted papers in @SANERconf#saner2022:
👉Inconsistency of #SoftwareVulnerability Severity across Data Sources
👉Exploitability/Impact of #BaseImage Vulnerabilities
👉Secured Container Orchestrator Configuration

Excited to be one of the supervisors of this program. I look forward to closely working with my student over the next 12 weeks on #AI, #cybersecurity and #softwareengineering. The project starts today!
We organised a welcoming & networking session for the #CRESTSummerProjects2021 students to meet their supervisors & other CREST members.
We also introduced contemporary software practices & infrastructure to enable the students to deliver high-quality outcomes for the projects.
