Year 4 had a wonderful time at the Big Pit today! They went underground and learnt about the mines and how they operated. This was followed by three activities that focused on children in the mines. We were so impressed by the their behaviour, enthusiasm and engagement.

In light of Mental Health Week, we have discussed different ways of boosting confidence, e.g. the positive effects that physical exercise has on the body and the mind.

Blwyddyn pedwar enjoyed performing an amazing class assembly to the school, parents and grandparents about everything they have learned about during this academic year. Parents and grandparents joined us for an activity in the classroom afterwards.

Blwyddyn pedwar really enjoyed watching the Live lesson with BBC teach for BirdWatch week today. Watching the barn owls at night was of particular interest, as well as taking part in the discussions and activities provided. πŸ¦†πŸͺΆπŸ¦

Blwyddyn pedwar have investigated, researched and created their own food chains featuring an endangered animal. We discussed the impact that human actions can have on a food chain, for example, deforestation impacting on animal numbers. #ethicalinformedcitizens #humanities
