#StratfordPEI - we are discovering fire hydrants blocked with debris. NEVER block a fire hydrant under any circumstance. Crews will be required to push debris back onto the homeowners property as access to fire hydrants is imperative at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
From the PEIFMO:
With electrical lines being energized across the Province, Maritime Electric strongly urging everyone not to be working, cutting, or cleaning up trees or debris around downed power lines. There have been a few near misses across the Province. Please share.
🟧CODE ORANGE!🟧
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital responding to incident involving several suspected carbon monoxide (CO) poisonings. QEH has called a CODE ORANGE!
Generators produce extremely high levels of poisonous CO that can kill you and your family.
4. Install carbon monoxide alarms in your home, one on every level and outside each separate sleeping area. If you choose a plug-in type CO alarm, make sure that it also has battery backup. Test alarms monthly. Replace them if they fail to respond correctly when tested.
5. If you start to feel sick/dizzy/weak while a generator is in use, get outside to fresh air RIGHT AWAY then call 911!
6. Never enter enclosed or semi-enclosed area where generator is/has been operating. Lethal levels of CO can be present several hours after it stopped running.
