I watched Scarlet today, and i've seen alot of people upset about how the story went, but I honestly liked it (besides the kiss). I think it was an intereating interpretation of hamlet, and I think it's deep emotional story about forgiveness (duhhh) but I also enjoyed that-

-Scarlet wasn't stone-faced and "cold" or "aloof" the whole time. A lot of revenge stories have the character lose all compassion or emotion entirely. But Scarlet's character worked really well for me because her motivations felt like actual motivations-

-rather than just a basic backstory. I also saw some people upset that she just "gave up" on revenge, but most of the movie was her coming back to her connection to her humanity and at the end, she has an inner battle with her desire for vengence and her desire to live
