What if we hadn’t started a brewery and instead continued our lives as they were? I decided to look back at our experience through a financial lens and see how things would have turned out. cryinginfinance.com/post/sca…

I'm turning 38 today! I decided it's time to stop using my parents' phone # at the gas pump and using their fuel rewards... but I'm going to keep using their Netflix account. 🤣 #adulting

So you have $ and want to contribute to a retirement account, here's one possible order. Note: I am not a certified financial advisor or tax accountant, do your own research and make good choices. 1/4 #personalfinance #finance #investing #learnfinance

2. IRA UP TO THE CONTRIBUTION LIMIT Your limited 401(k) options may have high fees (check the expense ratios) and you could find better ones on your own. Small fee differences make a huge difference over time. In your IRA you have complete control over what you invest in. 3/4

3. 401(k) UP TO THE CONTRIBUTION LIMIT Unless you are planning to use the funds in the near-term, retirement accounts are hugely advantageous for tax savings. Max that sucker out before putting money in a taxable investment account. 4/4

Today's #moneywin: We were shopping for a grill at Home Depot. I checked Facebook Marketplace while there and found one of the ones we liked for 1/2 the price, still in its box too!

I is for Investing. And don't think it's just for people with a lot of money. I use Fidelity for my investment and retirement accounts and I can purchase a partial share of a stock or fund for as little as $1. (Most of my money is in $VTI or $VOO btw.) #finance #investing

Today's #moneywin = catching the receptionist at the eye doctor double-charging me $40 for something. Ask for itemized receipts and give them a quick look-over!
