BREAKING: Major corruption scandal in Spain involving PM Pedro Sanchez. A police investigation report has been released which shows that PM Sanchez authorised a secret visit of Daisy Rodriguez, the Vice-President of three Maduro regime in Venezuela. This was allowed to happen despite that Rodriguez has been banned from entering the Schengen zone due to EU sanctions. Rodriguez is to have brought 12 suitcases with her that were given to one of the ministers and top politicians of Sanchez’s socialist PSOE party, Jose Luis Ábalos. The suitcases allegedly contained gold bars worth USD 70 million. The former Infrastructure Minister Ábalos was sacked earlier this year after it was discovered that he was at the center of another kickback corruption scandal in which millions of overpriced COVID-19 face masks were bought by the Spanish state. The case also involves the Speaker of the Parliament, the PSOE top politicians and former President of the Balearic Islands Francina Armengol as she was aware of the corruption scheme. Sánchez’s own family is also facing trouble as a judge opened a probe into his wife Begoña Gómez, who has no higher education, but was still appointed director of an Africa research centre at IE University in Madrid. It is alleged that in that capacity, she received favours from executives of Air Europa and its parent company, Globalia. The airline then received an EUR 475 million bailout during the pandemic. Another probe has been opened against the prime minister’s brother David Sánchez who works for a provincial council in Badajoz in the Extremadura region. He is suspected of participating in a corruption ring guilty of embezzlement, crimes against the public administration and the treasury, misuse of public funds and influence peddling. Meanwhile, the Spanish Parliament is in gridlock as Sanchez lacks majority in parliament and has been unable to pass almost any bills since since managed to retain power after signing agreements with the former ETA terrorist group and granting an illegal amnesty for the leaders behind the illegitimate Catalan Independence Referendum in 2017. Instead, Sanchez is trying to shift focus to Israel by making inflammatory statements such as his call today for a international ban on weapons sales to Israel as it is defending itself from Hamas, Hezbollah and the IRGC.
