When I was 18 I almost died to a falling Pine tree, but God saved me.
I was using my chainsaw to cut down a 40-50 foot tall pine tree that was dead, and very brittle. It was just the trunk. Like a telephone pole. Not a single branch. No bark.
I was not experienced enough to realize how fragile it was, and that it could snap in half.
It was deep in the forest and completely surrounded by other trees, so there was no clean area to drop it, so I decided to drop it through the smallest branches of a live oak tree (still pretty thick). I thought the tree would just crash through the outter branches and fall to the ground.
I was wrong.
When I dropped the tree, it hit the branches, and snapped almost completely in half except for a small portion on the back.
This caused the tree to fold in on itself in the very middle like a piece of paper, and suddenly the top half of this tree, probably 25 feet of 12 inch diameter pine was coming right at me.
My instinct was to run as fast as I could towards the field, but in hindsight, as a student of physics, I now know that if I had of done that, I would have put myself directly beneath the tree.
I heard a voice that said: โDonโt move, youโre fine.โ. So I did. I stood perfectly still and watched as this tree fell down right at me.
It fell to the ground very quickly. If I had of moved I would have had 2,000 lbs plus of pine landing straight on my head.
I would be dead.
Because I harkened to that voice, the tree missed my left shoulder by literally about two inches.
It fell to the ground directly to the left of me and bounced about 6 inches off the ground and fell still.
Guardian Angel? The Holy Spirit? Jesus? The Father? I donโt know which one.
All I know is that I was an unbeliever at the time, and Satan would have been happy for me to die and go to hell.
My plan was to run, so it wasnโt my own spirit.
That only leaves our Lord.
Thank you God for saving my life.
About a 8 years ago, my wife and I were leaving my grandparents house. Parked parallel. About to pull out. Just us two in the car.
My wife forgot to check the side mirror.
I was waving bye to my family. Looking the other way.
My wife felt a hand on her shoulder and heard a whisper in her ear from behind her. โWait.โ
A second later, a giant SUV flew past.
If my wife had turned into the street, she wouldโve died. I might have too.
That moment haunted my wife for weeks after, and we still both remember it to this day.
Atheists are too quick to dismiss the supernatural. Iโm sure the comments will soon be filled with
โHallucinationโ
โShe imagine itโ
โYou made that upโ
And other similar responses.
But my wife was one of the biggest skeptics of spirits until that event. It changed her.
Guardian angels are real. Jesus sends them to protect and defend from darkness. His plans are higher than our ways and thoughts higher than our thoughts.
So many people out there have stories just like ours.
I donโt have enough faith to be an atheist.
