Did you know that you can compare how two players played the same hand differently in SkillDiff? No, you didn't. This has been a learning opportunity for all of us.

Nobody asked, and I think these are mostly good changes, but I don't see how this makes low star, higher rarity cards worth anything. My top of the head proposal for that, in conjunction with these changes below, would be to add something like star caps per rarity level. Something like this, where you cap the cards to 5 (maybe 4?) stars when a new rarity level is introduced to each league. Not only should that increase demand for mid-low star cards at higher rarity levels, but it should create some more interesting decision points when trying to set a lineup. The downside is a slightly more compliated ruleset, of course, but the game already has a high enough learning curve that this probably doesn't impact onboarding much.
New League Update 🏆 Season 5 will bring one of Fantasy’s boldest gameplay updates yet: the launch of the Platinum League, revamped reward structures, and additional game modes. Full details below ⏬

That's taking exactly the new leagues, though. I'd probably go even harder/weirder and do something like this. Make it so you can have low star, high rarity cards in those lower leagues. Adding the rare to Bronze might be going too far (even though it's capped at 3 stars), but you get the idea. Anyway, the new changes overall seem good, but I don't think they'll actually help the issue at the higher rarities.

okay, @fantasy_top_ f2p Elite chest 15 is officially too difficult. literally all top 10 legendaries and still can’t get there. where’s a manager I can complain to?

hey @0xKipit and @0xMikado can we get the full list of "protected" @fantasy_top_ heroes that can't fall into the bottom 15? because J'Accuse!

Okay, I think I've digested the @fantasy_top_ changes that have come with the new Clout system. I'll just quickly say that overall I like where Clout is going and think it has great potential to get a lot more people involved in the game. That said, here's my thoughts around the rest of the changes: 1. Lower Rewards / Higher Fees - I've seen a bunch of complaints about the lower ETH payouts and a smaller amount of complaints about the higher marketplace fees. Yeah, it's not great, but it's super understandable that they want to be a little more conservative with their runway and plan for the long term. Neither change here really bothers me that much (but I wasn't really in it to win ETH anyway and don't have a huge amount of marketplace volume, so ymmv). 2. Bye Weeks - This is a big one to me, and probably the most hated change. Without beating a dead horse, I think this will be a huge momentum killer every 5 weeks and no new and improved Tactics will help that. I do think this is the change that's most likely to be reverted the soonest. I don't know what's involved in the hero swap that makes it need a whole week (instead of doing it Thurs-Sun between tournaments) but if that process can be shortened to 2-3 days it would eliminate the need for the bye week. Seriously, do whatever you have to do to eliminate the bye week. 3. Hero Swap - 15 new heroes replacing 15 current heroes at one time is a lot. There's also some ambiguity around why someone like Frank is "safe" and what will happen with Evan and Eugene if/when they get swapped out. So the first suggestion would be to make it very clear what the rules are around the swap and why. I would also suggest that maybe 15 is too many every 4 weeks. Either extending the length of a single season (even 10 every 8 weeks is a lot) or instead of having seasons at all just do a rolling replacement of 1-2 heroes every week would be my off the top of the head suggestions. 4. Elo / Stars - Almost forgot this one. I never optimized for Elo, so it doesn't impact me personally all that much, but I can definitely understand the complaints of the players who fully bought in to the idea and are now left with less rewards because of it. I know Travis already said they'd do something to take care of it, so I'm not too worried here. It would be nice to throw in a little something for Stars as well, but maybe that's coming with the new rewards system. Anyway, I'd say overall this probably wasn't the kind of movie Travis thought it was going to be, and hopefully all the concerns get addressed and we can all go back to being irrationally bullish about FAN. I'll still be playing, anyway!

quick question about the @fantasy_top_ clout leaderboard: if the bottom 15 heroes get booted at the end of the season, is that based on the clout leaderboard? if so, shouldn't we have a "current heroes only" filter as well, so we know who is in trouble?
