I almost ignored The Beaks the first time I saw it.
It wasn’t loud. No pressure, no “look at me” energy.
And honestly, in a space where everything is fighting to be seen, that usually means you just scroll past.
I almost did.
But for some reason, it stayed with me.
Not in a big obvious way… just there, at the back of my mind.
I went back to it later. Then again.
Not because anyone told me to I just felt like I missed something the first time.
And yeah… I did.
Some things don’t hit instantly.
They’re not built for that.
You have to sit with them a bit. Come back. Look again.
And somewhere along the way, it starts to click.
That’s what The Beaks felt like to me.
Not something you rush through, but something that slowly makes sense the more you pay attention.
I’ve seen a lot of drops come and go.
Most of them are loud for a moment… then disappear just as fast.
This one doesn’t feel like that.
It doesn’t force attention.
It just holds it.
And in a space full of repetition, that kind of presence is rare.
Funny enough… the more I tried to understand it,
the more I realized it was never trying to explain itself in the first place.
Maybe that’s the point.
You’re not supposed to get it instantly.
You’re supposed to notice it… then come back when you’re ready.
I didn’t get it at first.
But I took a second look.
And that made all the difference.
