A handful of towns and cities like Chamonix, France; Olympic Valley, California; and Leadville, Colorado; are synonymous with trail running and capture imaginations. The atmosphere in Silverton, Colorado, is warming up for the 2023 Hardrock 100. #HR100: irunfar.com/the-calm-before-…

Ah, yes, every coach loves the old "I changed your schedule to suit my needs or desires and didn't get the results I wanted, so your schedule doesn't work" gem.
As one who designs different training programs I often am asked whether or not the numbers I offer (the miles run) can be changed. Well, yes and no. In picking any training program you need to determine in advance whether or not it will work for you. Then stick to it. #RunWithHal

Jacksonville is an even better place to live this morning!
Love won tonight, and we made history. We have a new day in Jacksonville because people chose unity over division—creating a broad coalition of people across the political spectrum that want a unified city. Together, we will bring change for good to Jacksonville by making good on the decades-long broken promises on infrastructure, building an economy that works for everyone and improving access to healthcare. We will break down the wall between City Hall and bring all the people in to create a city that works for everyone. #ChangeForGood

I remember trying to explain to my father why I wanted to run my first hundred. We got interrupted 20 times in 5 minutes by my kids' squabbles. He got it. This weekend, twenty years later, my youngest is my crew chief for Keys 100.

“100 miles?!! Woww. That sounds really…stressful.” funny bc I actually can’t stop daydreaming about how incredible it is going to feel to finally “escape the stress” and only have to think about eating & staying up right for an entire weekend 😅 perspective

I taught on this tragedy for over a decade. May the spirit of those lost continue to inspire us all to dream big.
On this day, 11.05.1996; the world witnessed a tragedy on the world's highest mountain. Doug Hansen (46, USA), Andrew Harris (31, NZ), Yasuko Namba (47, Jp), Scott Fischer (40, USA), Robert (Rob) Hall (35, NZ), and the three Indian climbers Dorje Morup (47), Tsewang Paljor (28) and Tsewang Smanla (38) died in a fatal storm known as 1996 #Everest disaster. May their legacy continue to inspire us to reach new heights!🙏 Photo showing Mt #Everest (8848.86 m) from Kala Patthar last autumn. ©: Sheldon Blake.

The Bank of Time is a lie!
One of the first lessons I learned in our sport is that if you are trying to run a fast time in a distance race the worst possible strategy is TIME IN THE BANK.
