My daughter saw the sensory cubbie in a library on Nationwide last night @Cubbiecare and has asked me to ask @corkcitylibrary to "please please please" get one so she can take a break if gets overwhelmed at @WorldBookFest events. "Today please" 😂 #Autism #Inclusion

We were delighted to visit Neurodiversity Sandymount to see their new Cubbie which we sponsored through our Community Development Fund. A Cubbie is an immersive sensory space that helps regulate sensory stress and it has been a fantastic addition to their Sensory Centre.

I believe we ALL need regulation living in this world that never stops spinning with heads that reflect the movement ;) This is a great service @Cubbiecare thank you!

#Throwback to 2022 when we officially opened the Cubbie Sensory Hub - a safe space on-campus for students and staff to balance sensory needs. The event was held today to mark #WorldAutismDay. The opening of the Cubbie formed part of University of Galway’s wider efforts to break down barriers to inclusion by investing in facilities and supports to make the campus friendlier for autistic people. The space can pre-empt overloads and balance sensory needs by regulating, alerting or calming senses, and helping with anxiety and mindfulness. The library now has a sensory cubbie as part of the services in the Junior library. Aimed at children and adults with sensory processing disorder the cubbie has programmes that last 5, 10 or 15 minutes and consist of colours, images and music. bit.ly/4aUrCiF
