🚨 Thierry Henry compares Ferran Torres and Hamza Abdelkarim, says Barcelona's answer may already be in front of them:
“When I watched Ferran Torres against Cape Verde and then Hamza Abdelkarim against Belgium, I couldn't help but compare the two performances.
People always talk about age and experience, but football isn't about that. It's about what you show when the game asks questions of you.
Hamza Abdelkarim was playing against Belgium, a team with experienced defenders, yet he looked completely at ease. He wanted the ball, he played with confidence, he attacked defenders without hesitation, and every decision he made looked calculated rather than rushed. That's what stood out to me. It wasn't just the talent,it was the composure.
Then you watch Ferran. He's an experienced player who has represented both Barcelona and Spain at the highest level, so naturally the expectations are different. Against Cape Verde, Spain needed someone to be decisive in the final third, but he couldn't take the chances that came his way or impose himself on the game the way an experienced attacker should.
I'm not saying one performance defines either player, but football is about earning opportunities. Right now, Hamza Abdelkarim is showing the confidence, personality, and maturity you want from a Barcelona forward.
If Barcelona are still asking whether he's ready for the first team, I think the answer is already in front of them. Sometimes you don't have to search for the future,it's already wearing your shirt. You just have to be brave enough to trust it.”
