The “Autism? Your Questions Answered” book collection has just got bigger! As we celebrate #WorldAutismAcceptanceWeek2023, we are excited to announce that over 200 new books have been added to our dedicated autism collections across the six main libraries in Cumbria.

"I live in Penrith, can I use libraries in Carlisle?" Yes - your library card is still valid to use across ALL libraries in Cumbria, no matter which Council you fall under.

In honour of #InternationalWomensDay, let's take a look back at the brave Cumbrian suffragists who fought for women's rights at the 1910 demonstration in London. Catherine Marshall, a central figure in the movement, proudly marched under the NUWSS Carlisle banner.
