Before anything else was added to our identity — religion, politics, class, gender, sexuality — we were Black. And in America, that reality has always shaped how we’re treated.
So protecting, preserving, and uplifting Black people isn’t about hating anyone else. It’s about refusing to abandon ourselves.
Every other community organizes around its interests. When Black people do the same, it’s called divisive.
It’s not divisive.
It’s survival.
Being pro-Black doesn’t make you anti-white.
