The children have been enjoying lots of outdoor play this week as the weather improves. 🌞 This week we created a water-wall in the garden. 🪣 Lots of problem solving skills and test runs and now we have two fun runs!

Our book of the week is Sue Hendra's Norman: the Slug with the Silly Shell. The children are having lots of fun exploring the nursery trying to find a new shell for our slug, testing their memory with the snail matching game and trying to balance all the snails into a pyramid! 🐌

The children’s interest in the book “The Bug Collector” inspired this weeks tuff tray. We have been exploring all the different names, their bodies and the environment they like to live in. We love to investigate! JS

As a team we saw the want and need from the children to have somewhere to be creative and explore outdoors. So we responded. Using the children’s input and help we transformed an unused area into a learning hub! The before, during and after. JS

Working with such inquisitive young minds, our staff are always getting asked lots of interesting questions! Occasionally (just occasionally!) we are completely stumped! 😂 Recently I was asked "how do you know animals are happy if they don't have a tail?" 🤯 1/2

The nursery children had great fun creating their Jackson Pollock inspired masterpiece and were very proud to display it - until the elements took it down! Keep your eyes peeled for it reappearing in the nursery building soon! 👀🎨 #artisfun

Following on from our children's love of digging in the garden, the team and a few little helpers, have created a new mud kitchen area! We will be developing this area with the children starting with an eco fence. We are looking for donations of 2ltr bottles to get us started.

Thank you to Miss Trousdale, who’s kind father created and donated our new bug hotel. It got its first visitor this morning of a spider, which sparked a lot of interest. 🕷️JS
