Chess has always fascinated me, and I’ve always wanted to test my abilities in an actual physical tournament...

Even though I didn’t emerge as the winner, I have absolutely no regrets participating in this tournament. The experience alone was top-notch 💯

And honestly, I think everyone should try this kind of gym. Your brain needs exercise too 🧠♟️

I played a total of 11 rounds .... won some, lost some, and learnt from all. One of the Chief Arbiters said something that stuck with me:
“In chess, there’s no true loser. The person who loses learns something new, and that itself is a win.”
That perspective changed a lot for me

Of course, I still had one very painful loss caused by a silly mistake 🥲😂
But I also delivered one brutal checkmate with a rook beautifully assisted by my knight 😈♟️
