The first of three pilot movies for The Six Million Dollar Man aired March 7, 1973 on ABC. The series would run for 5 seasons from January 18, 1974 to March 6, 1978. Action figures and toys from the series were produced by Kenner in 1975.

Not widely known is that Steven Bochco (Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, NYPD Blue) script-doctored the original #SixMillionDollarMan pilot movie with Henri Simoun's (Howard Rodman) blessing. In this Muncie Evening Press (IN) blurb from February 17, 1973 he gets a mention as "Bocho."

One of the first news reports on the filming of #CYBORG was this Shreveport Journal (LA) AP blurb on January 17, 1973 where Lee Majors teased a June wedding with Farrah Fawcett. But "Cyborg" would get a name change to The #SixMillionDollarMan and Lee would marry Farrah on July 28
