Wout van Aert could already have won so many 🟢 jerseys in his career.
He can sprint top 10 in flat stages and is one of the few sprinters who can also win a lot of points in the hills and mountain stages.
He & his team wasted many opportunities in the past few years

Nice confidence boost for Van Aert. With a few more weeks to grow towards his best form, he can target stages in the Tour de France as well.
His team problably might not let him, but he could target a 🟢 jersey again by scoring points in many kinds of stages.

I believe Meeus is an underestimated rider.
Despite not having a real sprint train, he was one of the few riders who could beat the usual suspects, even in the final stage in Paris.
He also had a decent classic campaign, despite not being the leader too.

SHOULD RED BULL SELECT MEEUS TO ITS TOUR TEAM?
Since his break after Roubaix Jordi Meeus has been on fire. 5th at Rund um Köln while being second from the bunch, 3rd at Dunkerque Classic, stage win in 4 jours du Dunkerque, stage win at Tour de Wallonie, and now yesterday's win at Brussels Cycling Classic.
In most teams, it would be clear he would be at the Tour, but Red Bull is not most teams. With targeting GC with Evenepoel and Lipowitz, they need people behind them in the mountains.
But do they really need a fully dedicated team when there is UAE, Decathlon and Visma to do the tempo in the mountains? I think no and they would also use a strong rouleur like Meuss in some stages.
Anyway, this is what he said: “It’s really going to be very difficult to get into the Tour selection. But I am still in the preliminary selection, so I stand a chance of going to France. The victory in Brussels and those of the previous weeks will help in any case.”
And also Danny Van Poppel: “We have no idea if it will work out, but we’re doing our best. We’re going to show ourselves one more time in Copenhagen. I think it’s fine this way. If you let your legs do the talking, you can earn a selection or whatever. We are trying to do that as well as possible.”
